Nature and Botanicals have been my main influence through my art journey, which includes earning a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art. I have been flower obsessed since my first day as a floral designer over 20 years ago. This passion for flowers has grown to include painting from my garden and most recently capturing the landscapes of my coastal New England home. Finding myself back home in the beach town I grew up in (with my own family) I see these landscapes with a fresh perspective and renewed appreciation. Spending time with my family- walking the beach, climbing the dunes, or hiking forest trails - we are able to find the quiet in our minds and to live in the present. It is these moments that inspire me to paint.
I am a caregiver to my partner who lives with Schizophrenia and the mother of our wonderful daughter. They both are my toughest critics but also my biggest fans. I am kept grounded through all that life brings because of my background as a certified Hatha and Vinyasa yoga instructor, with over a decade-long meditation practice. I strive to bring this experience and its meditative and philosophical lessons into my paintings, creating artwork that evokes a combination of serenity and joy.
